Chlorine Water Maintenance Begins March 2
March 2 through March 30 is when the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) performs the annual chlorine maintenance of our water system. If you notice a slight change in smell or taste, try these tips:
  • Fill a pitcher of water and place it in your fridge overnight. This allows the chlorine to dissipate.
  • Add a slice of cucumber to a glass of water for a few hours to improve the taste.

All 13 cities on the NTMWD water system undergo maintenance at the same time. Normally, chloramines (a combination of chlorine and ammonia) are used to treat our water. For this maintenance, the level of chlorine remains the same but no ammonia is added. Chlorine prevents bacteria, parasites and viruses from growing in our drinking water. For added care, the NTMWD and the City of Plano test the water year-round and during the maintenance period.

You can drink the tap water – it’s safe. For more information, visit ntmwd.com/safewater or plano.gov/water
William Clark Green Kicks Off Courtyard Texas Music Series
Get your heart pumping during the kickoff of the 2020 Courtyard Texas Music Series with William Clark Green at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 5. William’s album “Hebert Island,” released in January, already has three songs on the Texas Country Music Chart: “Goner” at 25, “Stay” at 28 and “She Love Horses” at 194. It's unrelentingly direct and hard-hitting music, charged with a palpable rock 'n' roll immediacy. His most intimate solo acoustic performances are full-tilt shows. He’s packed rooms across his native Lone Star State from the Blue Light in Lubbock to the world's biggest honky-tonk, Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth.

Tickets are just $30 per seat for each show and season tickets (4 concerts) are available. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. the first Thursday of each month. Come early, park at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Ave., and walk downtown for dinner.
