Tour the Plano Community Garden on Open Garden Day
Step into the Plano Community Garden during Open Garden Day! Tour the garden's two orchards and over 50 garden plots tended by the Plano Community Gardeners and countless volunteers. The mission is to:

  • Feed the hungry - Provide healthy food for our community's hungry
  • Educate the public - Present educational opportunities
  • Be of service - Promote volunteerism in the community

In 2019, the Plano Community Gardeners donated over 3,000 pounds of fresh produce. Tomatoes, leafy greens, onions, potatoes, okra, melons, berries, peppers and squash went to local food pantries serving Plano's hungry. Our average last frost is around March 15 and the Plano Community Gardeners are busy planning their spring plantings, so they can continue serving our community.
