School System Announces Plans for School Year
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: July 21, 2020
Last week Plano Independent School District released their plans for starting the school year. Get those details at pisd.edu.
The City of Plano COVID-19 Hotline is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 972-941-5922. Voicemails left after hours will be responded to the next business day.
If you regularly travel on East Plano Parkway, prepare for future lane closures. Wastewater pipes are being installed in the median. On Wednesday, July 22, the North Texas Municipal Water District begins phase II of a pipeline project. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane weekdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. between K Avenue and Shiloh Road. Westbound lanes will be limited to two lanes of travel at all times during construction. The project is expected to be complete in March 2022. Once the project is finished, trees will be replanted.

At the July 29 meeting, City Manager Mark Israelson presents the 2020-21 Recommended Budget and Community Investment Program (CIP). This kicks off the public hearing portion of the budget process.
Agendas for both meetings will be available the Wednesday prior to the meetings.
Equip your neighborhood group to have greater impact. Learn to assess strengths and gaps in your neighborhood, community organization, resident engagement and more. Network with other neighborhood groups, take advantage of mentoring opportunities and build support. The next class starts in October.
