Discover Great Gifts and Décor at the Plano Holiday Market

Plano Holiday Market is a fun and free event showcasing an incredible selection of handmade holiday gifts. Crafty and artistic talents from all over the region converge at Carpenter Park Recreation Center on Nov. 18-19. Find tons of holiday-themed goods made of fabric, wood, ceramic, glass and more.  


Other exhibitors have jewelry and clothing, candles and soaps. Discover an enticing selection of salsas, jams, nuts and dips perfect as gifts or for holiday parties. In addition, Collin County Seniors will stock the Hip Hip for Gray craft booth displaying a variety of unique quilts, baby items and ornaments.

Would You Like $20,000 to Beautify Your Neighborhood? 

How Can the City of Plano's Neighborhood Grants Help You?

The Neighborhood Vitality & Beautification Grant program awards up to $20,000 to registered neighborhood groups. Pre-applications open Friday, Jan. 12. 


New program changes for 2024 include: 

  1. Only ONE grant cycle per year with a maximum grant award of $20,000
  2. Reduced match
  • Voluntary Neighborhood Groups 
  • NO MATCH for grants up to $5,000
  • Matching contribution - 30% of pre-tax costs for grants above $5,000 
  • Mandatory Neighborhood Groups
  • Matching Contribution - 40% of pre-tax costs

Legacy Drive Ramp to U.S. 75 Closed 


Monday-Thursday, 

Nov. 6-9 


The ramp from Legacy Drive to the southbound U.S. 75 frontage road is under repair. Detour options: 


● Chase Oaks Boulevard to Spring Creek Parkway 


● K Avenue to Spring Creek Parkway 


Weather can change our schedule, so watch for message boards.

Southbound K Avenue Closed at Silver Line Railroad Crossing


Friday-Monday,

Nov. 10-13 


Between 14th Street

and Plano Parkway 


Southbound lanes of K Avenue will be closed at the railroad crossing. Friday’s work begins after the morning commute and Monday’s work ends before the evening commute. Municipal Avenue (northbound) remains fully open.

Plano Municipal Center is closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24. Some City facilities or services have altered hours. If Thursday is your trash day, it will be collected the Friday of Thanksgiving week. 


Before you head to your favorite recreation center or pool, check current openings.

Find a Christmas Cops Box Near You


Ends Friday, Dec. 1


Make a child's holiday special by donating to the Plano Police Association Christmas Cops program. Fill collection boxes at local businesses with non-perishable food, unwrapped new toys and new coats. Save time and avoid crowds, purchase items online from the registries and ship directly to the Plano Police Department. Hurry, boxes are collected for sorting on Friday, Dec. 1.
