Utility Bill Gets New Look and New Payment Portal

Watch for the City of Plano utility bill updated look. The new statement keeps the same basic layout but makes key details easier to find.

Quickly see your account number, due date and total amount due. The breakdown of charges for water, sewer, drainage and waste services has not gone away.

The new bill look is part of the City’s preparation for a new online utility bill payment portal launching on Monday, April 20.

The new portal makes it easier to manage utility bill payments. Set your account to receive email or text alerts when a bill is ready and before it is due. Manage multiple accounts with one login. Pay using secure options like Apple Pay or Google Pay. Customers will also be able to view hourly water use more easily.

If you currently use AutoPay, you must re-enroll at Plano.gov/WaterBill when the new portal opens on April 20.

Volunteers Are Making A Difference Across Plano

Spring is a great time to get involved and give back to the community. The City of Plano offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities for residents, families, students and local businesses who want to make a difference.

The impact of volunteering in Plano continues to grow. According to the 2025 Volunteers in Plano Annual Report, 6,755 volunteers contributed more than 95,000 hours of service last year. Their efforts supported libraries, parks, public safety programs and community outreach across the City, creating an estimated $3.3 million in community value.

Volunteers support many City programs throughout the year. Some assist with library programs and community events. Others help maintain parks and trails, support environmental programs or provide care and enrichment for animals at the Plano Animal Shelter. Volunteers also assist with emergency preparedness programs and special city initiatives.

Opportunities are available for individuals, families, students and companies interested in community engagement or team volunteer days. Many volunteers say the experience helps them meet neighbors, build new skills and feel more connected to the community.

Whether you want to volunteer once, join an ongoing program or organize a corporate service project, there are many ways to get involved.
