Let’s give a big shout out to Neveria & Paleteria Maru, a desserts shop in Greenfield, for being a great steward to the environment and community by successfully implementing a comprehensive food scraps program! Owner Maria Pantoja and team are now diverting 450 pounds of food waste per week out of the landfill, which will instead be turned into nutrient-rich soil to create a healthier Salinas Valley. Way to go!
