We Are So Grateful for The Charity Ball Association!
A huge thank you to our friends at The Charity Ball Association and their continued support and generous donation towards furnishings for the Charlie Naylor Campus! We are can't wait to open our doors in just a few months to serve even more youth and families and look forward to inviting YOU to our Grand Opening in June!
Rise Recovery Charlie Naylor Campus Update
Things are looking up at Rise Recovery! Rise staff toured our beautiful two-acre Charlie Naylor Campus this month and the new signage for the Harvey E. Najim Youth Building! We are so grateful for a true champion of San Antonio youth, The Harvey E. Najim Charitable Foundation! Save the date! Our campus Grand Opening will be on June 16, 2022. Stay tuned for details in the months to come!
Relationship is Key to Recovery
Rise Recovery continues to swim upstream from youth crisis, aiming to make access to recovery well before something life threatening happens. This is only possible by providing direct-to-you access to youth and their schools right on their campuses. Mary Kate Brown is seen here presenting to 65 Judson ISD Counselors for Counselor Appreciation Week. Rise Recovery just added Judson to our list of schools engaging Rise in a fee for service partnership to its students and administration. Thanks to the forward thinking of San Antonio's school districts, we continue to reach more youth and education more community members about the signs of addiction and resources for recovery.

A 2020 study by the CDC and the National Institute on Drug Abuse found three out of four people who experience addiction eventually recover...Travis Rasco in Upstate New York says he's grateful he got enough time, enough chances and enough help to rebuild his life. READ THE JANUARY 15, 2022 REPORT BY NPR, "THERE IS LIFE AFTER ADDICTION. MOST PEOPLE RECOVER."
Are You Interested in Becoming a Peer Recovery Coach?
Sign up for Rise Recovery's Spring RSPS Training today! The Rise Recovery Training Institute was established in 2017 as part of our ongoing effort to partner with the community in education and training of addiction and recovery. If you are looking to provide hope to those who struggle with substance use and provide support in their recovery process, Rise Recovery can help make that happen.
Rise Recovery Annual Staff Retreat
This month we held our annual staff retreat at the beautiful H. E. Butt Foundation camp in Leakey, TX. We spent an entire weekend together laughing, cheering on, learning, reflecting and celebrating each other. Learn more about our staff here.
Rural Communities are Suffering from Quality Mental Health & Substance Use Recovery Support
Geography affects mental health care. Rural areas are lacking support services, paying higher costs for care, which, in turn, equates to increased substance use issues. Read more about this ongoing issue and what Rise Clean Link is doing about it in South Texas. READ MORE
Request for Food Donations!
Our participants are often hungry when they attend our group meetings and activities, especially the youth who come right after school. We are asking our community for food donations, specifically frozen snack items that can be heated up like: taquitos, corn dogs, Hot Pockets, etc. To make it even easier, we can also accept grocer gift cards (HEB, Target, Walmart). To donate and schedule delivery, please email [email protected] or call 210-227-2634.
We are very grateful for your support!
Rise Recovery Represents at Spurs Mental Health Awareness Night
Roy and Justin welcomed Spurs fans to learn more about Rise Recovery and our programs during the Mental Health Awareness event held on February 4th before the Spurs vs. Rockets game. GO RECOVERY GO!
