Office tips of the Week:
Lunch / Snacks and Birthdays at School
Please send lunches, snacks and water bottles with students in the morning before school. With 500+ students on campus, trying to track down and deliver items for students can be challenging for staff in the morning. Your help in creating a morning reminder checklist for your student and remembering their items each morning is a huge help to us in the office! Thank you!
Lunches: We do not allow made to order or fast food lunches on campus for delivery to students. It is our ultimate goal to support our district healthy eating initiative and fast food lunches have the opposite message. Additionally, it has proven challenging trying to deliver fast food and soft drinks to Please do not drop fast food or hot made to order lunches for students as they will not be accepted.
Snacks: Remember to send one healthy snack each day for your student to eat at recess.
Due to staff and student allergies, please do not send NUT PRODUCTS OF ANY KIND TO SCHOOL, especially PEANUT PRODUCTS.
Water Bottles: Due to CDC rules changing, student water fountains are open and operational for all students. Students can also bring a reusable water bottle to school each day and use the refill station located near the cafeteria. The office no longer has disposable water bottles available for student use.
Birthdays at School. We are so excited when students have birthdays and know that families want to celebrate in every way possible. We do, however; have some rules surrounding birthday celebrations at school. We encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher if you have specific questions regarding birthdays.
We do not allow birthday food to be distributed or eaten during school hours (cupcakes, cake, and other goodies) this is also due to our health initiatives. Also, birthday party invitations should distributed outside of school. If they must be given on campus, we do not allow birthday invitations to be individually distributed to select students. If birthday invitations are given out on campus, they must be given out by the student after school at dismissal. An invitation must be given to every student in the class.
We do recognize birthdays by announcing the student(s) names during Principal Announcements in the morning. Individual classrooms may have additional birthday recognition as well.
Thank you for your continued support this school year and have a wonderful weekend!
