Register to attend virtually. All general members can participate in voting and approval of all items. If you are unable to attend, you may also complete the proxy form attached to the registration. A proxy form elects a member of your choice or the Board Chair to vote on your behalf.

This interactive workshop equips you with practical, evidence-based digital tools to enhance both virtual and in-person sessions to meet the rising needs of the youth mental health crisis. We’ll explore APA guidelines for digital therapy, and discuss the benefits and challenges of integrating technology into clinical work. You will gain hands-on experience with therapeutic digital tools like PlaySpace. You’ll walk away with an expanded ready-to-use digital therapeutic toolbox to create meaningful, ethical, and engaging sessions for youth, helping you stay ahead in the evolving world of digital therapy. 



Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the current youth mental health crisis, including key contributing factors and implications for clinical practice.
  • Summarize the current landscape of digital therapy, integrating APA guidelines for ethical and effective digital therapy practices.
  • Evaluate the benefits and challenges of digital therapy, considering accessibility, engagement, confidentiality, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Demonstrate how to integrate digital tools, including PlaySpace, to enhance therapeutic interventions in clinical practice.
  • Apply digital therapeutic tools to both in-person and virtual sessions to improve engagement, client outcomes, and therapeutic efficiency. 


Approved Provider Program Committee News

The Approved Provider Committee will be sending reminder notices to approved providers regarding certification renewal. Additionally, providers will be encouraged to promote their availability to offer training to CAPT members and interns. As a newly restructured board committee, the Approved Provider Committee is committed to ensuring the program meets the evolving needs of members while supporting pathways to certification and ongoing professional development.
