A Word from Pastor Mitch...
When I was kid, we had 7 TV stations that all went off the air at midnight. We watched Little House on the Prairie on Monday nights and The Waltons on Thursday nights. Today, we have 8 zillion channels that broadcast continually, 24/7.

Beyond the plethora of stations on TV, there are the constant new releases at the theater and endless options online. From Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Instagram, websites, phone apps, and even video games, there is always something to feed our eyes.

Not only has the number of visual stimulants multiplied, the volume of reading material continues to increase, including novels, magazines, self-help, non-fiction, and the list goes on. The point is, we have so many options to set before our eyes!

Solomon’s warning to his son in Proverbs is worth thinking about:

Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.” Proverbs 4:25

Our eyes are the portal of our soul. The question is, what are the boundaries you have in place to guard your eyes? This Sabbath, we take a serious look what the Bible says about boundaries for our eyes. As it turns out, Jesus had much to say about our eyes. Hope to see you this Sabbath!
