Join Us in Supporting the InterFaith Leadership Council

Last year, many generous individuals contributed to the InterFaith Leadership Council’s awards dinner/fundraiser and for john a. powell’s presentation. We are grateful to everyone—our board, committee members, individual participants, and partner organizations. These contributions enabled us to continue offering one-of-a-kind educational programs for adults, our immersive interfaith Religious Diversity Journeys for middle school students, World Sabbath, and other interfaith activities that help build a values-based community.
This month we are beginning a spring fundraising drive with a $25,000 goal. Already our board members have pledged half of that amount--$12,500—which is a wonderful start.
Now we invite you to register for Co-Creating Common Ground—An Evening with john a. powell on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Professor Powell (pictured above) is director of the Othering and Belonging Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. A national thought leader on racial justice and social equity, Professor powell will inspire us to continue our work toward a community with shared interfaith values. Saeed Khan, Associate Professor and Director of Global Studies at Wayne State University, will moderate the discussion.
This zoom webinar, co-sponsored by the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion, will be presented from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on May 3. A donation of $100 is suggested. Please register at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_zm4bdPANSyKNAM2DjbdqDw
