Hello Dexter,

The season of fall is a season of change, marked by leaves turning colors and the days growing shorter. This change symbolizes the natural cycle of life, reminding us that transitions and transformations are a necessary part of growth.

Spiritually, it encourages us to reflect on our own lives and consider what changes or transformations God may be calling us to make. Just as trees shed their leaves to prepare for winter, we are called to let go of anything in our lives that may be hindering our spiritual growth.

Fall is, therefore, a time to embrace the changes God brings, trusting that God is working all things together for our good.

The verse, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens” (Ecclesiastes 3:1) highlights the natural rhythms of life, reminding us that change is part of God’s plan.

This autumn season let us embrace those changes and trust in God’s purpose for each season of our lives.

Sincerely,

Pastor Dexter Royes

National Hispanic Heritage Month

The theme for National Hispanic Heritage Month in 2024 is "Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together." This theme recognizes the many Hispanic and Latinx people who have paved the way for future generations to enact change. It also embodies the spirit of innovation, resilience, and unity that define the Hispanic experience.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15. The month honors the rich culture, history, and contributions of Hispanic Americans.

The celebration began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson. President Ronald Reagan expanded the celebration to cover a 30-day period in 1988, and it was enacted into law on August 17, 1988. Many cities host concerts, parades, runs, festivals, and art exhibits to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
