Please Please Me!!! 11/4/25

John 8:28–29 (KJV 1900)

²⁸Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

²⁹And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Jesus, Himself, made the statement:

“FOR I DO ALWAYS THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM!!!”

The HIM meaning His father God and our Heavenly Father! AMEN!!??

I AWOKE this morning with a grin!! As always, I am ALWAYS glad to AWAKE and glorify God that YOU and my precious family AWOKE again-PRAISE THE LORD!

I well knew I was to post this sermon because God often speaks to me in song-that song being today an OLD classic by the Beatles!!!

WE are/WE exist solely for ONE unique purpose-that being to PLEASE the Creator!!

To give God PLEASURE!!!!

Revelation 4:11 (KJV 1900)

¹¹Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

God does not and never has NEEDED anything-ANYTHING-especially from you and me!!!!

God does NOT need our service and human striving to “make the world go 'round!!

Psalm 51:16 (KJV 1900)

¹⁶For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering.

God does NOT need our mere money!!!

Psalm 50:12 (KJV 1900)

¹²If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.

God simply and wholly created you and me for HIS pleasure!!!

Much like we parents enjoy watching our children and grandchildren AND great-grandchildren play in the park. Our children do not enrich us financially nor do we depend on them to do ANYTHING for us.

2 Corinthians 12:14 (KJV 1900)

¹⁴Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

I LOVE to see my precious Amanda eat. She struggles so to chew real food and in the wee hours of the night I am PLEASED beyond measure to feed her liquid Ensures.

I LOVE to watch her sleep the restful sleep, to see her smile and laugh.

I LOVE to watch her BREATH!!!!

I do NOT expect her to even be grateful for all my efforts or to DO anything to pay or repay me.

There is NOTHING she can do or is expected to my good except the FACT that God gave her to me for such a time to be simply enjoyed!!!!!

Her very existence PLEASES me!!!!!!

Sadly, it has taken me too many years to understand this same Truth about our Heavenly Father....

God does NOT need me-OR YOU- to DO anything for Him!!!! ANYTHING!!!!

The weight of the world or the existence of His glorious Kingdom in NOT on mine or YOUR shoulders.

Matthew 6:13 (KJV 1900)

¹³And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

It simply and perfectly described by our Lord and Savior as HIS kingdom and it is HIS power and HIS GLORY on the line-it is NOT dependent on my actions, WORK, and/or efforts. PERIOD!!!

I do believe, however, that it is OUR responsibility to tell other-to TEACH others, especially our loved ones to:

2 Timothy 2:2–4 (KJV 1900)

²And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

³Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

⁴No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

In closing, please note to main reason we are to share the Gospel!!!

THAT WE, “may PLEASE Him who hath CHOSEN him(you and me-THE CHOSEN) to be a soldier!!!!!

I CHOOSE to today to take the literary license to change the above Beatles words to:

PLEASE PLEASE ME O LORD-

I TRY TO PLEASE YOU!!!!!

⁸He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; And what doth the Lord require of thee, But to do justly, and to love mercy, And to walk humbly with thy God?
