I was made aware that several of you received text messages that were sent in my name but from a strange number asking for gifts cards. Please do not respond. These are scam.

Please stay alert, and do not respond to emails or text messages that seem suspicious.

Check that the sender has a valid email address or phone number that you recognize.

Don't be misled by the fact that they spelled my name correctly, or even signed the request as I often do, with "grace and peace."

And do contact the office if you receive further strange requests. Let us protect one another.

Take care.
