Future Improvements at the
Clarence R. Kelly Community Center
(Blue Center) and Park
and Duval Park

Complete the survey before Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018
The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PRCA) is providing an opportunity for interested residents to give feedback on future plans for the Clarence R. Kelly Community Center (Blue Center) and Park, which is located at 1700 NE Eighth Ave., and Duval Park, located at 520 NE 21st St. in Gainesville.

The city now owns several lots south of the existing Kelly Center and has the opportunity to expand the current center or build a new center and add or create a larger park. Duval Park is a 26-acre nature park located between Northeast 20th and Northeast 25th Streets and is in the heart of the Duval neighborhood providing a quiet place to walk and play. Both parks have deep history in the neighborhood and this is a great time for the community to be involved in the future of these two parks.

Director Steve Phillips explains, "Several of our older parks were developed without a master plan. Since we are an accredited agency by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), we adopt best practice standards, such as master plans for every park, which allow us to achieve the goals reflected by our community. Our community outreach efforts mirror our city's efforts to be the most citizen-centered city in the country. We hope you'll take time to give us your feedback through this survey!"

Help us design it to fit your needs! Interested citizens are invited to complete the survey before Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. The survey is available online.
