It has now been four weeks since I-House closed its doors to the public to keep our community safe and healthy. I-House, like so many businesses and organizations, is facing devastating financial loss and it is with incredible sadness that I let you know that we have had to reduce staff. I hope you will join me in thanking Corey Gonzales and Suzi O’Rear for their service to I-House. I want to personally and publicly thank Corey and Suzi as well as the rest of the staff for their incredible work ethic, positive spirit, empathy and kindness in this unprecedented, difficult time. The rest of the I-House staff will be working reduced hours from home until our beloved gathering space can reopen to our community.
Currently,
even the I-House website is down
as we cut expenses and figure out how to transition to virtual services and programming.
We need your help.
We are losing over $15,000 a month of revenue that we use to help English language learners navigate life in our community, assist international parents, welcome visitors and new residents from around the world, and cultivate joy through world music, dance, food, dialogue and art. We are looking to you, our community, to help us raise $15,000 in the next 2 weeks so that we can re-launch our website, provide virtual programs and services, and be prepared to re-open when the situation changes!
