Mark your calendar for a
Farm Bill conference call on Monday, July 16!

Through the significant advocacy efforts of the Native Farm Bill Coalition’s many members, the U.S. Senate's version of the 2018 Farm Bill includes an unprecedented number of provisions sought by tribal governments and Native producers. Senators of both parties contributed to make this measure better benefit Native Americans.

Preparations are now being made to work out the differences between the Senate and House bills in a conference committee. It is critically important that the many good items for Indian Country in the Senate bill are preserved in the final compromise.

The Senate Democratic Caucus has graciously organized a conference call next Monday to highlight what they see as Indian Country’s successes in the Senate-passed Farm Bill, discuss their hopes for continued bipartisanship in enacting a Farm Bill, and give the Coalition’s members and other interested parties an opportunity to provide comments and ideas to Senate Democratic leadership before the conference committee process begins.

We encourage your participation in this call!
