Into the Silence
A silent retreat

led by Kelly Deutsch

Nazareth, KY, USA

April 12-18, 2026

Silence will be observed throughout the retreat. We welcome all, however this retreat is best suited for those with a seasoned meditation practice.

"John of the Cross insisted that emptiness is fullness, absence is presence, and nothing is everything. Let's see if he was right!

Over five days of silence and teaching, we'll follow the soul's journey from longing to union -- which sounds romantic until you realize it involves letting go of everything you thought the path would look like. The real transformation happens when you consent to the night: that disorienting, emptying place where Love does its most intimate work.

With John of the Cross as our guide, we'll explore the real meaning of divine union, the difference between meditation and contemplation, why detachment might be the most misunderstood word in spirituality, and why your longing for God might actually be God's longing in you." Kelly Deutsch, our teacher.
