Although a bed may not seem like the most pressing social issue, studies have shown that the lack of a good night sleep plays a negative role in a child's development and his/her education. House Bill 1129: An Act to Establish a Bill of Rights for People Experiencing Homelessness. House Bill 529: An Act relative to assisting elders in the Commonwealth. House Bill 4506, in line item 7004-0101 to change policies that require many families with children to stay in a place "not meant for human habitation" before qualifying for Emergency Assistance.
