Please join the WSCAH Virtual Harvest Dinner October 20, 2020
West Side Campaign Against Hunger (NYC)

Over the years we've paused on our branding work to connect with our neighbors and celebrate the joy of giving back by auctioning an evening of risotto and wine at the annual Harvest Dinner (click here: joyfulplate risotto party for WSCAH). This year's event knows no bounds as it goes virtual, offering a wonderful opportunity to share the truly meaningful and progressive accomplishments the team has achieved to protect vulnerable New Yorkers who are food insecure in this unprecedented year.

The West Side Campaign Against Hunger on the Upper West Side is one of the largest and most successful food pantries in New York City. Founded in 1979, WSCAH provides emergency assistance to people who struggle to meet their food needs as well as connects customers to SNAP food stamps, housing, health insurance and job training.

In this pandemic year WSCAH saw a +200% increase in the number of households
in need (+13k to 26k unique households).

As an emergency response to Covid, the Mobile Market Pantry (since 2017) reached out to the vulnerable in all 5 boroughs, working in partnership with community-based organizations, senior centers and religious institutions distributing 2.2 million pounds of food (over 1 million pounds of fresh produce).

And in the spirit of innovation and new partnership, WSCAH joined forces with the United Way and Door Dash to deliver food to seniors in more remote places.

Please consider a donation to WSCAH to help them continue their tremendous work.
