"Many nights I was praying, ‘Please let my car start so I can pick up my daughter and make it back home safe.’ My daughter asked, ‘Mommy is the car gonna start today?’ I would say, ‘I don’t know baby, we gonna see once I put my key in’ lol.
"This is like ‘Christmas in February’ for us. I almost started crying on the phone with Ms. Ro from Coordinated Services Planning." -- Melissa
We are so glad that when Melissa turned to us, we were able to help her get the vital car repairs she needed so she and her daughter have safe, reliable transportation. Our Reliable Rides financial assistance program is the only car repair assistance program in Fairfax County, and one of the few available in Northern Virginia.
When our Financial Programs Manager Diana Ortega received the request from Coordinated Services Planning to help Melissa with her car repair, she worked with J.J. Auto Repair to fund the repair at a discount and worked out a payment plan with Melissa so she can help cover some of the costs.

A big thank you to Design TLC for the design and construction of the new site, AGH Strategies for migrating our database system and our pro bono IT provider Macro Systems LLC for assisting with the launch.

Food Bridge Supporter:
Thank you to the Democratic Women of Clifton and Northern Virginia for once again making us part of their Holiday Giving drive! They donated $3,330 in funds and grocery store gift cards that satisfied both food deliveries to our families in January! We have a great need for Food Bridge Supporters this year. Food Pantry:
"Souper Bowl" Food Drive: A big thank you to the organizers and supporters of Hugo the Gargoyle Little Free Library's "Souper Bowl" Food Drive in the Old Lee Hills neighborhood of Fairfax City. So many generous community members got involved, with Twins Ace Hardware Fairfax and Chubby Squirrel Brewing Company also running drives. The Rams beat the Bengals for the most items donated (307 to 259), but our families are the big winners! On February 22, we received the final donations of food and supplies for our pantry, valued at more than $1,000! We received 362 pounds from Hugo the Gargoyle, 196 pounds from Twins Ace and 24 pounds from Chubby Squirrel. Thanks to all who donated! Read the Connection Article.
Social4Good: A huge thank you to Social4Good for selecting Britepaths as their local nonprofit to support for January 2022. Angie Delboy (pictured) is a member of Britepaths' Board of Directors and Social4Good. They organized a drive and filled our pantry with $2,000 worth of toiletries!
Food4Thought Supporters
