Hello Colleagues, Friends of CTMF

Thank you all! I wish I could do so personally. I can not, there are too many of you who contributed, supported, and participated with us over the ten years of CTMF, and for our three online events as well as at the many other panels, sessions at SME's and AEMA's annual meetings I was involved with you orchestrating over as many years.

Save the dates for the 11th Current Trends in Mining Finance Conference that will be on May 19 & 20, 2026, at the offices of A&O Shearman again in Midtown New York City. The two-day conference will offer panel discussions and presentations in a similar format to prior years with new participants and some tenured favorites.

Organizational duties are being carried on by two SME NY Section members, Alan Oshiki AlanOshiki@pushtree.com and Darwin Werthessen massmineralappraisal@gmail.com. Reach out and contact them if you have inquiries, comments, submissions, and want to be a Sponsor. They will respond directly and accordingly.

I will remain involved with the industry, continuing my analysis and advisory work, for example, with the South Dakota headquartered RESPEC group. A growing advisory, consulting firm active in mining and an ever-growing roster of supporting and related services and business segments of our technical economy that I've worked in and with over my many years in the business.

RESPEC has more than 30 offices in North America. They are local. Receive periodic updates about their growing roster of services, markets and expertise by subscribing to their newsletters.

If you attend AEMA's 130th! annual meeting in early December in Reno, Nevada, you may want to connect with Alan and Darwin about CTMF 2026 in New York City in May and meet with members of the RESPEC team. They'll be there! It's an excellent event.

Please stay in touch. I look forward to crossing paths at future events and activities. It has been a real honor to work with you all.

Best wishes and Happy Holidays!

Best regards,

Tim

SME's Current Trends in Mining Finance (CTMF) Conference

CTMF Conferences bring together subject matter experts and interested stakeholders involved with evaluating, de-risking, finding and financing minerals projects of all types worldwide. Join us for a series of panel discussions and keynotes about trends, non-technical and technical issues, policy to navigate the risks that affect capital raising in the global minerals industry and how management and investors can evaluate and manage best practices and technology to anticipate, track and manage mining, processing and recycling projects.

The New York Section of SME (www.smeny.org) dates back to 1871 when a handful of mining engineers in New York City and Pennsylvania founded the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (AIME). SME is an international society of AIME of more than 14,000 professionals in the minerals industry across nearly 100 countries. SME is a member society of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers. www.smenet.org
