FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN

We ask that parents do not drop off students before 7:30 a.m. All children dropped off before 7:30 a.m. will be sent to the cafeteria for before school care. The safety and security of our students is always a priority.

The academic day at Saint Andrew Catholic School includes all of the core subjects such as math, reading, science....as do all other schools. Our unique identity can be found in the religion classes that students experience on a daily basis throughout the campus. How awesome that your students embrace the teachings of Christ everyday and learn about our mission as Catholics and Christians. Our new program, The Body Matters, is taking off this semester and the teachers have embraced the curriculum and are integrating the lessons during religion class. As a pilot school for this program, we are excited to see it in action.
Caryn Riley, fourth grade math and religion teacher adds,"it is powerful to see the students learning new ways to live out the Gospel through their friendships with each other and their interactions with people at school. In 4th grade, The Body Matters focusses on being a good friend. One big thing is being FOR our friends which involves virtuous friendships."

Sixth grade student, Sam Steele, "We get to learn about our faith and go deep into it. Right now we are learning about being made in God' s image."

Grant Skaggs, another 6th grade student, added, "Right now we are learning about how God made us in our own special ways. We are different than each other because He made each of us special in His own image."

We praise God for the opportunity to have these conversations and to learn about Christ each day at Saint Andrew Catholic School.

WHAT IS THE STEPHEN BREEN MEMORIAL FOUNDATION?

At the age of 13, Stephen Breen, SAS Alum, was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Stephen fought his disease with great courage for 16 months and inspired many with his humor, perseverance, and concern for others despite his difficult battle.

On October 4, 2004 Stephen passed away and his foundation was created. Honoring his wishes, the Stephen Breen Memorial Foundation offers tuition assistance to children who wish to receive a Catholic school education and assistance to families who have children that are also battling cancer.

Since its inception, Stephen’s foundation has provided more than $1,000,000.00 in tuition assistance, impacting the lives of over 1000 children from 700+ families at all 20 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
