Real Faith for Real Life
Sunday, October 24; 11 a.m. worship in the Youth Lounge
The pandemic has taken its toll on each and every one of us during the last eighteen months. As we come together this fall, join the Education Council as they provide activities to educate all of us on how to develop real-life skills to become happier, healthier Christians. Join us for part two of our series on Mental Health - Practicing Self-Care, Mindfulness and Stress Relief. Email Mike Bruce if you have any questions or would like to contribute toward any of the upcoming topics.

At the end of the meeting, we will welcome new members. Pictures will be taken and shown in worship the following Sunday.

UMCOR Flood Bucket Update
A BIG thank you to those who were able to contribute to the UMCOR Flood Bucket Cleaning Supplies project. We delivered 22 complete buckets to the UMCOR office on Monday, October 18 with an estimated value of over $2,000. All these buckets will be used right here in the greater Detroit area. We also received several cash donations which will be forwarded to UMCOR Headquarters. Once again, the St. Paul's family demonstrates our commitment to Missions and serving.

A Word from the Pastor
Sunday Worship
10 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Online worship at 10 a.m. on Facebook
In his book, Courage, Tom Berlin writes, “Hope reminds us that with God’s help, we can do the things God asks us to do” (86). Hope has a power to fuel our courage, not just for the short-term, but over the long haul. Hope sustains our brave faith, and it sustains our commitment to be generous. Join us this Sunday and bring your 2022 Estimate of Giving Cards as we celebrate Brave Faith Celebration Sunday and the hope we have in Jesus! Find us on Facebook at St. Paul's United Methodist Church-Rochester.
Rev. David Eardley
The Open Door at 10 a.m. in Hickey Hall
As we conclude the sermon series, “I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…” we also celebrate the stewardship return of commitment cards. As we have prayed together, “God, how is my Brave Faith inspiring me to give?” we recognize our stewardship as a part of growing in faith and generosity. I love the line in Courage that says, “When hope is lost, it is time to find Jesus” and that this week’s passage is about the faith one person finds in the hope of their friends who lead him to Christ.

Hats & Gloves for Baldwin
For many years the United Methodist Women has donated hats and gloves to Baldwin Center and Neighborhood House. We buy them at a discount from Broner Hat Company to maximize our donation.
Without our Rummage Sale fundraiser this year, we do not have funds available and we welcome any donations to help us continue this ministry. Please make checks to St. Paul's United Methodist Women with 'hats and gloves' in the memo line & mail to 620 Romeo St. Rochester, MI 48307.
Many thanks from the United Methodist Women.
