Following the resolution passed at our November meeting, DCCA will be a party opposing the upzoning of the DC Police and Fire Department building at the corner of 17th and U Streets. Final Weekend to Catch Georgetown Glow

GLOW, Georgetown's free light installation walk is in its final weekend. It will be lit from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. nightly until Sunday, January 7th. This curated outdoor public light art experience is a fun treat for the eyes and feet!
DC Public Library's MLK Week

Environmental Film Screening and Q&A

Women's National Democratic Club

Scarred Lands and Wounded Lives, an award-winning documentary by DC sociologist Alice Day and her late husband Lincoln, features interviews and personal accounts of people whose lives have been directly affected by the environmental consequences of war. Alice will host a Q&A post-screening.

Let Freedom Ring MLK Musical Tribute
Monday, January 15th
6:00 PM

A musical tribute to Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. will be offered by the Kennedy Center featuring Jordin Sparks, Nolan Williams Jr., Cécile McLorin Salvant. This free, ticketed musical tribute is both an in-person and virtual event. for free, virtual viewing. The ticket giveaway begins January 15th at 4:30 p.m. at the Hall of Nations and will be limited to two tickets per person. Click here to learn more about ticketing and log in.
NatGeo Transforms
Our NatGeo neighbor is temporarily closed for exhibits while it redesigns its space. Their website is offering a look at what's to come including renderings of the new space which will include an expanded museum, immersive experiences and a renovated theatre.
