THIS MONTH'S WORK-BASED LEARNING FEATURE:
Chick-fil-A Douglasville
Chantz Sorrows began the work-based learning program at Chapel Hill High School as a junior. Now a senior, he is not your typical high school senior. Chantz started working for operator Mike Moore at the Chick-fil-A in Douglasville as a team member. Today, he has elevated his standing from team member to marketing assistant and has been integral in the continued success of this local business.

Chantz completed the Marketing Management Pathway at Chapel Hill High School and has risen to the top tier of students within the program. Chantz’s passion to learn more about effective marketing strategies motivated him to seek out opportunities to learn more. He began to take additional steps and opportunities to learn, grow and experience real-world applications for promotions and advertising.

The Work-Based learning program is offered to any high school junior or senior at all five Douglas County High Schools. Our goal is to assist in the creation of a strong support structure between local employers, students and schools. Work-Based Learning supplies talent to address industry workforce shortage needs. We promote an industry-driven system where employers set occupational skills standards, collaborate on curriculum, provide work experience and certify mastery of skills. Focus on the future with Georgia Work-Based Learning.

For more information about Chapel Hill High School or the Work-Based learning program contact Leslie Austin at [email protected]
