The West Coast Electric Fleets Initiative is here! Check out 3 ways it can support you and your organization:
1. Toolkit The new West Coast Electric Fleets toolkit provides resources on everything you wanted to know about electric vehicles, fleet integration, infrastructure and more.
2. Webinar Series West Coast Electric Fleets is offering a free Peer-to-Peer Network webinar series to highlight partners' case studies, sharing their valuable EV adoption experiences.
The second webinar in the series, Best Practices for Integrating ZEVs Into Your Fleet is scheduled for
Aug 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM PDT.

3. Pledge

. The Pledge provides an opportunity for both public and private sectors to make commitments and take action towards greening their fleets and reducing vehicle emissions.

Fast-Charging Stations in BC
|

Abbotsford's EcoDairy Farm is home to a fast-charge station, the first to be hosted by a private business. The station is close to HWY 1 Sumas Way exit.

BC's DC Fast Charge network has grown to 15*. You can now find a quick charge in Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Squamish, Sechelt, North Vancouver, Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Hope, Penticton, Merritt, Kamloops and Revelstoke. Currently, these stations support the CHAdeMO standard only, but stay tuned for SAE Combo chargers in the future. A gap analysis is also underway, with input from EV owners and stakeholders to help prioritize the next phase of roll-out for the province.

Emotive Campaign Engages BC Residents
|
Emotive, Plug In BC's public outreach campaign, has been at over a dozen community events this summer. Hundreds of people visited the Emotive booths to learn more about battery electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, and talk with EV owners on how exciting and fun driving an EV can be!
Emotive has also run two EV Ride & Drive events this summer: Electrafest 2015 and the 2015 Abbotsford Air Show, giving people the chance to test drive the latest EV models in the market, including: Kia Soul EV, Nissan LEAF, Chevy Volt, Mitsubishi iMiev, and Smartfortwo.
A lot more has been planned for the Emotive campaign in the upcoming months.

Plug In BC is administrated by the Fraser Basin Council. It is an initiative co-chaired by the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines and BC Hydro to lay the groundwork for plug-in electric vehicles and related electric charging infrastructure in British Columbia. It is a broad collaboration between the Province of BC, BC Hydro, the Fraser Basin Council, several academic institutions, EV owners, and over 180 communities and businesses.

Modo takes on a KIA Soul Electric!
|
Modo, the car co-op announced its 400th vehicle this week: an all-electric
KIA Soul EV, placed at Dockside Green, Victoria.
Now members of the car share can experience driving electric in Victoria. This is in addition to two Nissan Leafs in their Vancouver fleet.
