About Plug In BC

Launch of Emotive: the Electric Vehicle Experience

We are excited to announce that we will be launching the public outreach campaign "Emotive: the Electric Vehicle Experience" this weekend (June 28 and June 29) at the TD Vancouver Jazz Festival, at David Lam Park.

The Facebook page and Emotive website went live this week!

Emotive is a campaign and community aimed at raising awareness of plug-in electric vehicles in BC. Emotive is brought to the public by the broad collaboration of people and organizations of Plug In BC. That's YOU!

The campaign will be profiled largely on social media (primarily Facebook), and at public events. Our "Call to Action" is to test drive an electric car and/or connect with us online. Emotive will rely on the contribution of two types of partners:
1. EV Ambassadors: EV owners who bring the authentic voice to the campaign. These individuals will amplify the message online and at events.

2. Community Partners: Organizations and Plug in BC partners such as yourselves can help by bringing Emotive into events at your communities and by spreading the key messages throughout your existing networks. We will have Emotive event kits and collateral available for use at public events, and we will also have stories, videos, posts and contests to be shared over social media and other communication tools.
We want you to be involved! First, you can help by spreading the word. Please link with our Facebook and encourage people to connect with Emotive to join the EV revolution! Second, if you have ideas on how to broaden the reach of this campaign, or are interested in participating more directly in its implementation, we'd love to hear from you!
Feel free to contact us with ideas, questions or feedback.
Pacific Coast Collaborative Fleet Workshop
July 23, Portland Oregon
Join us on July 23, 2014 in Portland, Oregon, for the Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC) Workshop on Zero Emission Vehicles in Fleets. This workshop will focus on opportunities, resources and strategies for incorporating zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) into public and private sector fleets on the West Coast.

It kicks off an initiative of the Governors of California, Oregon, and Washington and the Premier of British Columbia to expand the deployment of ZEVs in fleets as described in the PCC's Pacific Coast Action Plan on Climate and Energy.

The workshop is designed for people involved in managing and procuring fleet vehicles, representatives of organizations involved in the ZEV supply chain, ZEV policymakers and people working on ZEV issues for non-profit and academic institutions.
