Sunday, April 12 - Chapel Class: "Can I ask that?"

"Can I ask that?" Join Christian Education board member Misha Chemey as he leads a discussion on questions that people have about religion but feel too shy or vulnerable to ask.

Chapel Class is open to all adults at 9:00 am every Sunday, in person or on zoom. The password for zoom is 247302.

Wednesday, April 15 - Wednesday Night Live

Wednesday Night Live programming returns this Wednesday. At 5:00 pm there will be adult choir rehearsal. At 5:15 pm there will be Bible Study with Rev. Timothy, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. Handbells will meet at 6:30 pm. Dementia support group meets at 6:45 pm.

All activities are open to anyone in the church, regardless of membership status. Come for activities or just come for dinner and fellowship! The suggested cost for dinner is $10 per person, though no one will be turned away due to the inability to pay. If you plan to come for dinner, please sign up in the Folsom Room in advance so our caterer knows how much food to prepare. Hope to see you there!

The scripture for this Wednesday is Luke 24:13-35.

The passcode to join Bible Study on Zoom is 773232.

Saturday, April 18 - Memorial Service for Michael Thomas

There will be a celebration of life service for Michael Thomas on Saturday, April 18 at 11 am. Visitation with friends and loved ones will be held from 10-11 am, and there will be a reception following the service. All Plymouth members are invited and encouraged to attend as you are able.

April Book Display - Rev. Sara's Recommendations

Cone, The Good Book by Peter J. Gomes, The Heart of Christianity by Marcus J. Borg, Seeds of Destruction by Thomas Merton, and The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, challenge, or deeper understanding, we invite you to browse, reflect, and engage with these meaningful works.

Upcoming Events

Sunday, April 19 - Casa de Plymouth Youth Lunch and Anti-Racism Activity

Do you like food? Do you support anti-racism? Then guess what? We have the perfect event for you!

The Plymouth Youth Group will be preparing a fundraiser luncheon after worship on Sunday, April 19, in which they will serve spaghetti & meatballs, salad, and a cookie. The cost is $5. Following the lunch, the Anti-Racism Team will lead attendees through an interactive board game called “The Disparity Trap” to highlight how racism grants resources and power to some people and takes it away from others. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The luncheon and game with discussion will last no more than 90 minutes. Sign-up in the Folsom Room or online here! Please indicate if you will be staying for the lunch, activity, or both!

Sunday, April 26 - 'Songs of Immigration: A Journey Begins' - Plymouth Music Series concert with Dr. Jorge Sosa

This April, Heartland Sings and Plymouth Congregational Church welcome Mexican‑born composer Dr. Jorge Sosa for a special three‑day residency in Fort Wayne, April 24–26.

Across the weekend, Dr. Sosa will share his powerful immigration story, lead a practical music‑business workshop, and take part in "Songs of Immigration | A Journey Begins" — a recital of Dr. Sosa’s compositions celebrating immigrant voices and stories. The Plymouth Music Series performance on Sunday, April 26 at 2 pm will feature Heartland Sings’ Alejandra Sandoval‑Montañez (Principal Artist, Mezzo‑Soprano) and Seth Allen (Principal Artist, Tenor), joined by Collaborative Pianist Robert Nance. Dr. Sosa will provide an introduction, and there will be a reception to follow.

More information here.

Sunday, May 3 - New Member Welcoming Group

Our next WELCOMING GROUP will meet Sunday, May 3, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. If you have been attending Plymouth for six months or longer, and your faith journey is leading you to explore becoming a member, this is a one-time required session. Whether you are confident, confused, or curious, our time together is focused on orientation, conversation, interpretation, and exploration. It is an opportunity for you to ask questions and to meet others who are considering affirming their formal relationship with Plymouth Church, UCC. A light lunch will be provided, and childcare is available upon request. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Rev. Sara Ofner-Seals at smo@plymouthfw.org.

Saturday, May 16 - Just Neighbors Benefit Golf Outing

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, Just Neighbors supporters are hosting a benefit golf outing at Colonial Oaks Golf Course to support the organization's mission.

It’s going to be a fantastic day of fellowship, fresh air, and fun — all for a great cause. We are aiming for a record turnout to support our neighbors in need, and we would love your help in spreading the word!

We are so grateful for our partners who find creative ways to give back. Thank you for helping us make this event a "hole-in-one" for our community!

With gratitude,

Jessica Bleill

Seeking Plymouth Grounds Volunteers

Would you like to help make the outside grounds as beautiful as our sanctuary?

Call Beth Balasia at 608-897-6143. Let's play in the dirt for God's creation.

Wishlist for Louise Folsom Library

Help us expand our library! Plymouth now has a wish list on Amazon for books we would like to add to our church library. Click the link below to find out which books we are asking for and consider purchasing one to help us add to our collection. If you are so inclined, we encourage you to purchase the book from an independent book seller, then go back to the Amazon wish list to say that it was purchased elsewhere. This will help ensure multiple people don't buy the same book. Thanks for your help!

Adult Nursery Volunteers Needed

Plymouth is looking for a few more adult volunteers to assist in the nursery on Sunday mornings, starting in the new year. Volunteers are scheduled to assist no more than once a month and are needed during the Sunday morning worship hour. If you would like to help out, please see Rev. Ofner-Seals or email her at smo@plymouthfw.org.

Safety Attendants

The Safety Committee is looking for a few good folks to serve as Safety attendants periodically during worship services. An attendant will greet late comers in the Narthex during worship, be responsible for communicating with the office in the event of a medical emergency or natural disaster, aid in fire and tornado drills, and more. If you would like to assist in this endeavor, please sign up at the following link.

Open Prayer in the Sanctuary

For a time of personal prayer, the sanctuary will be available Tuesday through Thursday during office hours. Please enter through the Berry Street office entrance and check in with our receptionist. Contact Jake Slone at (260) 423-9424 or jss@plymouthfw.org with any questions.
