There will be no Chapel Class this Sunday. It will resume next Sunday! See you then!

Wednesday, December 3 - Luminous Night Service

Join us at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3 for our annual Luminous Night Service. This is a service for those who may be grieving or feeling lonely or sad during the holiday season. It is a quiet, contemplative service with readings of scripture and poetry, along with reflective music and a chance to light candles in honor of loved ones lost. It is also a time to reflect on our hopes for the year ahead and center ourselves in God’s abiding presence during all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. All are welcome to attend this service of lament and promise.

Friday, December 5 - City of Churches Tour

We are once again participating in Fort Wayne's City of Churches Tour. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to help welcome guests as they come to view the sanctuary. Volunteer shifts are from 4-6 pm and 6-8 pm. If you would like to volunteer, please email Rev. Ofner-Seals at smo@plymouthfw.org

Upcoming Events

Sunday, December 7 - Las Posadas Procession

Plymouth children and families are invited to our fourth Las Posadas celebration on Sunday, December 7. This is a Mexican Christian tradition, focusing on the Holy Family seeking shelter, being denied initially, and finally being welcomed. Participants will process throughout the building and sing the Las Posadas song in English, which will conclude with a celebration in the Folsom Room with refreshments. All ages are invited to experience this event, which will happen immediately after worship.

Note: while participants will be inside for the vast majority of the time, there will be one section that will involve being briefly outside, so warm coats are encouraged.

Tuesday, December 9 - Make the Yuletide Gay

It's your newest holiday tradition! Don your gay apparel and cozy up next to three award-winning songwriters for a night of holiday classics, original music, storytelling, comfort, and joy on Tuesday, December 9, 7 pm at Plymouth. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

2025 International Folk Music Artist of the Year award winner Crys Matthews is joined by genre-defying artist/activist Heather Mae and shame-slaying singer-songwriter drag queen Flamy Grant for a winter show like no other. We're making merry and celebrating the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community in a time when so many are trying to silence their voices. Don't miss this night of feel-good, uplifting, soul-filling music as we Make the Yuletide Gay.

Tickets are $12.50 and can be purchased at the link below, or at the door. For those needing assistance with the cost of the ticket, please email Rev. Sara Ofner-Seals at smo@plymouthfw.org.

December 8-13 - ICMEP: Tashi Kyil Tibetan Buddhist Monks

Bringing a message of peace, reflection, impermanence and spiritual enlightenment, five Buddhist monks of the Tashi Kyil Monastery in Dehra Dun, India will visit Fort Wayne from Dec. 8-13. They will create (and ritually destroy) a Compassion Mandala, and, through performances, educate the public about Tibetan Buddhist culture and religion.

During the week, there will be multiple opportunities to learn and participate with the monks:

Opening Ritual: Mandala Creation

Sunday, December 14 - Canto de Corazón Concert

The final Plymouth Music Series concert of the year will be Sunday, December 14 at 4:00 pm at Plymouth Church with Canto de Corazón. Plymouth and Heartland Sings collaboratively sponsor Canto de Corazón, a unique community choir that sings exclusively in Spanish, providing a unique opportunity for choristers of all backgrounds to appreciate Hispanic-Latino culture and enhance their language skills. Come to enjoy some uniquely beautiful music of the season!

Sunday, December 14 - Poinsettia Orders Available

Poinsettia orders are now available for the Christmas season. Poinsettas will be delivered to the church and can be picked up after Christmas Eve service.
