| | Sunday, September 21 & 28 - Chapel Class with the Anti-Racism Action Team | | |
| | |
For the past several years, the Anti-Racism Action Team at Plymouth has been working on a variety of projects to help make us a more anti-racist congregation. This Chapel class series will last for two weeks and is a follow up to the after-church forum from last June. However, newcomers are welcome! Come learn more about what anti-racism is about, what has already been accomplished, and share with others on future projects that we can do together!
Chapel Class is open to all adults at 9:00 am every Sunday, in person or on zoom. The password for zoom is 247302.
| | | | Congregational Survey: How Are We Doing? | | |
| | Every now and then, it's good to take the pulse of the community, to find out what things are going well as well as areas for growth and improvement. To that end, the executive council, along with church boards, have developed a congregational survey that covers different elements of church life, including music and worship, fellowship opportunities, faith formation programming, and more. The survey is live as of Sunday, September 7, and can be accessed at the link below. Paper copies are also available in the Narthex. We thank you in advance for your participation! | | | | Monday, September 22 - Centering Prayer | | |
| | Our Centering Prayer Group continues on Monday, September 22, at 5:30 pm in the Plymouth Chapel. All are welcome to attend, regardless of your level of knowledge or experience. If you've ever been curious about Centering Prayer, which is a form of Christian silent meditation, now is the perfect time to come check it out! We are a small but friendly group and are always open to newcomers. We meet every Monday, so feel free to drop in as often or as sporadically as you like! | | | | Wednesday, September 24 - Wednesday Night Live | | |
| | |
Wednesday Night Live programming continues this Wednesday. At 5:00 pm there will be adult choir rehearsal and children's choir rehearsal. Bible Study with Rev. Timothy will begin at 5:15 pm, followed by dinner at 6:00 pm. Handbells will meet at 6:30 pm.
All activities are open to anyone in the church, regardless of membership status. Come for activities, or just come for dinner and fellowship! The suggested cost for dinner is $10 per person, though no one will be turned away due to inability to pay. If you plan to come for dinner, please sign up in the Folsom Room in advance so our caterer knows how much food to prepare. Hope to see you there!
Click the button below to join Bible Study via Zoom. The passcode to join is 773232.
| | | | Last Sunday to Sign Up for "Food 'n' Fun" Groups! | | |

October weather can inspire a crisp Fall pitch-in menu, a hike with a sack lunch, or other creative ideas to get your gatherings started. Sign ups and more detailed information may be found on the "Food 'n' Fun" poster in the Folsom Room or at the sign up link below. Look for "Food 'n' Fun" table signs in the Folsom Room following worship next Sunday, September 28, so you can meet your group and plan your first event. | | | | Saturday, September 27 - Ordination of Wayne Peterson-Stephan
| | You're invited! Please join in the ordination service of Wayne Peterson-Stephan on Saturday, September 27 at 4:00 pm right here at Plymouth. This is a joyful milestone, and Wayne would be honored to share it with you. He is deeply grateful for the support and encouragement this congregation has given him throughout the journey. Together we will celebrate God’s call and give thanks for the community that makes this ministry possible. A reception will follow the service. | | | | Sunday, September 28 - One Hundred Years in the Hundred Acre Wood - Plymouth Music Series | | |

| | | | Tuesday, September 30 - Environment and Spirituality Summit Watch Party | | |
|
The Green Team invites you to a watch party for the annual Faith in Place Environment and Spirituality Summit on Tuesday, September 30 at 6 pm. We will gather in the Folsom Room to watch the keynote address by indigenous author and scientist Robin Wall Kimmerer, with time for discussion afterwards.
Kimmerer will invite us into a deeper contemplation of the reciprocal support and strength shared between humans and the natural world. Drawing from her rich experience as a mother, educator, scientist, and storyteller, Kimmerer will illuminate how healing our relationship with the Earth can empower us to foster resilient, thriving communities rooted in generosity and mutual care.
Join us for this inspiring keynote, as Robin Wall Kimmerer guides us toward a future where gratitude shapes our relationship with each other and the living world.

| | |
Join Just Neighbors for "Just Dinner 2025" as they celebrate 25 years of serving families in crisis. Enjoy an evening of connection, inspiration, and generosity, raising critical funds to provide shelter, resources, and hope for families experiencing homelessness in Fort Wayne.
This year’s Just Dinner will honor the history of Just Neighbors, celebrate the courage of the families they serve, and look toward a future where no family in Fort Wayne has to face homelessness alone.
Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker will be the special guest for the evening. Tickets can be purchased at the link below.
| | | | Fall Directory Photo Drive | | |
| | |
I am collecting photos for the online directory! Last time I came to you hat in hand I asked for folks to upload personally. This time I'm just going to make this as simple as I can for you. All you have to do is drag and drop a photo from your computer to the upload section of this handy form in the link below and hit submit. It's that easy. I'll upload them to your account as they come in.
If you have any questions, see me in my office. Still too confusing? No worries! Set up a time with me and we will take a photo together.

Volunteers are also required to submit to a background check. If you are interested, please email Rev. Ofner-Seals at smo@plymouth.org. | | | | Plymouth Raised Bed Garden Spaces - Harvest Ready!
|
Some new plants are ready for harvesting in the raised bed garden spaces behind the church. You're welcome to grab some! Zucchini, cucumbers, green beans and peppers are all ready for picking.
This garden is intended to help feed our downtown neighbors, as well as Plymouth people - members, visitors and staff. Enjoy the harvest!

The Safety Committee is looking for a few good folks to serve as Safety attendants periodically during worship services. An attendant will greet late comers in the Narthex during worship, be responsible for communicating with the office in the event of a medical emergency or natural disaster, aid in fire and tornado drills, and more. If you would like to assist in this endeavor, please sign up at the following link. | | | | Office Volunteers Needed for Weekly Staff Meetings
|
Do you have some time available on Tuesdays and are looking for something to do? Plymouth staff are looking for volunteers to cover for the receptionist during the staff meetings every Tuesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. It’s a quiet time for the church, the most you may have to do is answer a phone call or two, maybe complete a small project.
To sign up as a volunteer, speak with Jake in the office or click the button below.
