General Updates

Open Call for Raffle Items!

The Chamber has two upcoming events which will feature raffle items from you, our member businesses! The first is on August 9th, our Women in Business Committee will be hosting a luncheon mixer with a raffle where all money raised from drawings will benefit the scholarship fund which helps two local women continue their educational careers. The second is our annual Golf Tournament on August 29th at Skytop Lodge.

Both of these events are tremendous opportunities to showcase your business to our network of working professionals at a low cost! Examples of items we would be looking for are gift baskets (wine, themed items, etc.), gift cards promoting local businesses or events, etc.

Please reach out to chamlin@poconochamber.org if you have an item you would like to donate for these events or if you have any questions! We would be happy to coordinate the pick-up of your donation and will create signage for the event promoting your business. Please just let us know in the email which event you would like your donation to benefit.

2022 Women In Business Scholarship!

The Pocono Chamber Women in Business Scholarship recognizes Monroe County female professionals who have demonstrated their dedication to empowering the leaders of our community and their commitment to bettering our community!

The WIB Council has created two scholarship opportunities for Monroe County’s female leaders; one for a high school student in the pursuit of higher education, and one for a Monroe County professional continuing her education.

The extended deadline for 2022 applications is September 1, 2022!

Our summer intern, Bryan, has extensive background in video production. With his expertise we are excited to implement video member testimonials about your personal experience with the Chamber and highlighting your business. These are something we will publish once a week on our social media platforms.

We would like to invite each of to be apart of this new project and share your Chamber experience with us. We will have designated times each week in which Bryan will visit your business, record some footage of your office or retail space, and record an interview with some the following questions:

Who are you and what is your business?

Have long have you been a chamber member?

What made you decide to join?

What do you enjoy most about being a chamber?

What impact has being a chamber member had on your business?

Any advice for businesses considering joining the Chamber?
