RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE RELIEF FUND - APPLY FOR AID
Through the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation will provide grants to restaurant industry employees who have been adversely impacted by COVID-19, financially, whether through a decrease in wages or loss of employment.

  • Each approved grant is $500, one per person only

Grants will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis to those individuals who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, as reviewed and verified by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Subject to the availability of funds contributed to the Fund, a one-time grant of $500 will be disbursed directly to the applicant following NRAEF’s review and confirmation that their submitted application meets the prescribed guidelines. Awards will limited to one grant per person.

Our one-time grants are intended to help offset short-term COVID-19 related financial hardships, such as paying any of the following expenses:
  • Home rent or mortgage
  • Car payments or transportation costs
  • Utility bills
  • Student loan payments
  • Child care
  • Groceries
  • Medical bills

MAIN STREET GRANT PROGRAM NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Chamber Foundation’s mission is to improve the appearance and vitality of every main street in the Lehigh Valley and the Northern Tier, Carbon and Monroe Counties. In keeping with the goal of urban revitalization, our grant dollars help to fund a variety of projects intended to visually enhance our downtowns and surrounding traditional neighborhoods.
Proposals are due by May 31, 2020 for projects to be completed July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Requests will be thoughtfully reviewed, and applicants will be notified by July 30, 2020.

Resource pages for  Lehigh Valley Health Network Pocono  and  St. Luke’s University Health Network Pocono  offer information on health-related issues due to COVID-19.
The Monroe County Office of Emergency Management presents the  CodeRED  Emergency Alert System. When you register for CodeRED you will receive emergency alerts including, COVID-19 information, Amber Alerts, road closures, and weather warnings.

Who can apply: Businesses and nonprofit organizations in Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, & Warren (NJ) Counties are eligable to apply!
Intended purpose:
  • Rent
  • Payroll
  • Other operating expenses
Program guidelines:
  • $2000 maximum request
  • Applications to be approved by committee based on availability of funds
  • Priority will be given to businesses operating on a main street or surrounding neighborhood
  • Apply online through April 3, 2020

U.S. Small Business Administration will hold webinar training on the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program for small businesses and private non-profits due to COVID-19. The webinar will provide you with answers and help you understand:1) who is eligible for an SBA Disaster (EIDL) loan. 2) what you need to have in hand before filing your application. 3) Q&A time devoted to answer your specific questions. Due to the high volume of questions, the webinar will be held daily. If the session is full, please join a session at another day.
