Main Street Grant Program

The Chamber Foundation’s mission is to improve the appearance and vitality of every main street in the Lehigh Valley and the Northern Tier, Carbon and Monroe Counties. In keeping with the goal of urban revitalization, our grant dollars help to fund a variety of projects intended to visually enhance our downtowns and surrounding traditional neighborhoods.
Local government, redevelopment authorities, and Nonprofit 501c3 organizations are all eligible to apply for a “Main Street Grant”. Chamber Foundation funds may be used for downtown and surrounding traditional neighborhood revitalization and improvement projects. Priority will be given to projects that are visible within the community, show partnership or collaboration with others, and improve existing or develop new facilities. Eligible projects may include but are not limited to, banners, benches, holiday decorations, bicycle racks, outdoor seating, and murals.
Proposals are due by May 31, 2020 for projects to be completed July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021. Requests will be thoughtfully reviewed, and applicants will be notified by July 30, 2020.
