Acclaimed poet Vievee Francis brought The Shared World to JAM for a very special evening in 2023. In her poetry collection, Francis imagines the ideas, ideals, and spaces of the Black woman, delving into inherited memories and restrictions between families, lovers, and strangers, and the truths of Black woman as mother, with or without child.
