It might be the dog days of summer, but WRAP members are busy demanding justice for homeless and poor people in their communities. Denver Homeless Out Loud (DHOL) have just announced a class action lawsuit against the city of Denver in protest of the increasingly brutal homeless sweeps which violate the rights and dignity of street residents.

Policies against homelessness have been on the rise, instead of sustainable solutions in line with city plans to end homelessness or increase federal public housing funding. More people are forced to become houseless, but city officials more often focus on criminalizing living in public spaces rather than addressing the systemic problems that lead to homelessness in the first place.
