Lobbying Laws
The discussion continues regarding the lobbying laws and the Ethics Commission's 2018 recommendations (See Council File No. 18-0171). The matter was most recently discussed at the Ethics Commission's December 2020 meeting. The commission is currently soliciting public comments about the proposed amendments, and staff will be holding interested persons meetings online for additional feedback.
Please tell us what you think about the 2018 recommendations or the lobbying laws in general, and how they apply to lobbying entities such as lobbyists, lobbyist employers, lobbying firms, development expediters, Business Improvement Districts, nonprofit organizations, etc.
