In five days, you have the opportunity to make your voice heard at almost every level of government. Tuesday, August 28 is Arizona's Primary Election where candidates running for offices ranging from Congress to your local school board will be vying for your vote. In Arizona, the Primary Election is an important component to determining who will be leading the city and state.
Chamber endorses Daniel Valenzuela for Phoenix Mayor

T he Greater Phoenix Chamber's Political Action Committee (PAC) Board has endorsed former City of Phoenix Councilman Daniel Valenzuela for the City of Phoenix Mayoral election. With a strong history of supporting pro-business policy and economic development efforts, the Chamber is proud to support Valenzuela for Mayor of Phoenix

Update: Phoenix City Council appoints two new interim council members
 

The resignation or Mayor Greg Stanton and the subsequent resignations of city council members Kate Gallego and Daniel Valenzuela are changing the face of Phoenix City Council. As a result, the council has appointed two interim council members in Districts 5 and 8. The Greater Phoenix Chamber congratulates the following individuals on their interim appointments: Ms. Vania Guerva (District 5) and Ms. Felicita Mendoza (District 8). The election for permanent city council seats will be held on March 12, 2019. If a run-off is needed, that election will take place on May 21, 2018.

Join one of the Greater Phoenix Chamber's Issue Committees. The Public Affairs program offers members the opportunity to participate in crafting policy priorities through six issue committees. These committees offer industry and community leaders, legal experts, and policy advocates the opportunity to evaluate policy and regulatory matters and form policy recommendations on behalf of the Chamber.
