Park Playtime Groups

Preschool & Homeschool Park Playtimes are back! They meet weekly at the Flag pole at Stearns Park! In case of inclement weather, we meet at Stearns Gym.

Homeschool Park Playtime meets on Wednesdays from 2-3:30pm (December 6, 13 & 20)

Preschool Park Playtime meets on Thursdays from 10:30-noon (December 7, 14 & 21)

Family Dance Party

Family Dance Parties will return in 2024!

As you think ahead and start making plans for gatherings, remember that the large picnic shelter at the Recreation Complex can be reserved for private events....birthday parties, showers, family reunions.

In an effort to streamline the process for residents we have created an online form for reservation requests. We will respond to your request with an email confirmation.

Stay in the loop with all the fun Recreation Department Events here!

What are you all doing to stay safe and active this fall? Tag us in your photos and we will share them on our Instagram & Facebook Page!

Email us your ideas!

We are gearing up for 2024 & are hosting a programming summit on February 6th. If you offer programs for the public you are encouraged to attend.

Let us know if you can come. If you can't make it there is space to share ideas/events/etc.

Trails Updates

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

In December trail work days will be held from 1:30-3:30pm

Tuesday, December 12th @ ICC/Library Loop

Tuesday, December 19th @ Recreation Complex

If you would like to help us with trail work, please contact us.

If you'd rather work on your own, feel free to walk a trail, picking up trash and moving small branches from the trails. Please don't cut any branches; if a trail needs more attention, email [email protected] and we will take care of it or bring it to that trail manager's attention.

This cheerful crew was out on the Little White Oak Mountain trail

clearing trail corridors!

MIND YOUR MANNERS

Most trails, if they are open, may not have public facilities that are open, so check ahead of time. Other trail courtesies also still apply: keep dogs on-leash on all hiking trails, take your trash with you, etc. Thanks for doing your part!
