Compensability – Knowing the Difference between Incident and Injury Jessica Grimes successful obtained a dismissal of claims for benefits by arguing that simply because a claimant sought medical care for an “incident” at work does not mean that the claimant had an “injury” under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
Compensability In a claim defended by Brad Miller and Kendra Gartska, the ALJ denied and dismissed alleged repetitive trauma claim due to varied histories of injury and lack of causation per the Medical Treatment Guidelines (“MTG’s”).

The Difference Between Marital and Separate Property in a Divorce Case

Owning property symbolizes both personal and professional growth and builds wealth over time. And, in most instances, the possession of property gives an individual the exclusive right to use their resources as they see fit. However, when property is acquired during marriage, it may be considered joint marital property, regardless of how it is titled. Spotlight on Tucker E. Allen
Tucker Allen was born in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Colorado shortly afterwards. He grew up in the small mountain town of Steamboat Springs, known locally as “Ski Town USA”, boasting to have the best snow in the state. Tucker spent his childhood years hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, and playing football and lacrosse, all of which nurtured a passion for the outdoors and all that Colorado has to offer.

After high school, Tucker attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a bachelor’s degree in news editorial journalism with a certificate of emphasis in political science. Upon graduation, Tucker attended law school at the University of Denver and gained experience working as a law clerk at the United States Attorney’s office for the District of Colorado and two private law firms. He graduated this past spring and is very excited to join Pollart Miller LLC as an associate attorney.

Outside of the office, Tucker enjoys spending time with his friends and family, reading, snowboarding, hiking, playing kickball and volleyball with his club teams, and most importantly, rooting for the Denver Broncos.
