Dear Pomona Choice Energy Customer, With summer heatwaves coming soon, Pomona Choice Energy reminds customers to conserve energy during the summer months to help keep California’s power grid stable. In this issue of our newsletter, we provide conservation tips, information about Flex Alerts, and other practices customers can follow to help limit rolling blackouts.  Also in this issue, we highlight two State programs that provide financial assistance to eligible customers: The California Arrearage Payment Program (CAPP) and the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP). We also include information for Pomona Choice Solar customers about the annual True-Up process. Read on to learn more about these initiatives and whether you are eligible to receive an energy credit.  Beyond these updates, we encourage you to check out our “Understanding Your Bill” web tool. It's Time for Pomona Choice Solar Customers to True-Up Each year, at the end of the 12-month relevant period, Pomona Choice Solar customers true-up their balances with Southern California Edison. The annual true-up process involves reviewing the monthly statements to determine the amount of solar energy you used versus generated. Based on that calculation, you may be eligible for an energy credit from Pomona Choice Energy.

Energy Program Spotlight

Efficient San Gabriel Valley (eSGV) Program Pomona Choice Energy customers are now eligible for the Efficient San Gabriel Valley (eSGV) program that offers residents free home energy assessments to identify opportunities to reduce household energy use and costs.  How does it work? Pomona Choice Energy customers may request a virtual or in-person assessment by visiting https://www.sgvcog.org/esgv or calling (626) 457-1800.  On the day of the assessment, staff will identify ways to improve your home’s energy efficiency. Staff will review building materials, heating and cooling, lighting, kitchen appliances, laundry appliances, home and office electronics, indoor and outdoor water usage, and more.  Within one week of the assessment, staff will deliver a thorough report to the resident, containing a range of energy-efficiency recommendations, as well as a personalized action plan with resources and rebate information.
