Summer Fun!
Splash Pad Grand Opening
Join Pontiac Parks and Rec Saturday, May 25th at 11:00am for the Grand Opening of the Humiston Riverside Splash Pad! After a few speeches and the ribbon cutting the play area will be open and refreshments will be served. This event is open to the public. The Splash Pad is located at 400 W Water St., Pontiac.

Humiston Riverside Splash Pad
The new Splash Pad at Humiston Riverside Park (400 W Water St.) will be open weekdays 9:00am-8:00pm and weekends 10:00am-8:00pm after Memorial Day Weekend and is free and open to the public.
Fast Facts
  • 4,300 square feet with colored sand finish concrete for better traction
  • 15 above-ground water features
  • 19 in-ground water features
  • 2 15' x 15' shade structures
  • Surrounding stone seats are from the former Livingston County Jail exterior walls
The Humiston Riverside Splash Pad will be available for party rentals. After hours it will be available for $50/hour and closed to only your group. During regular operating hours it can be rented for $10/hour but will still also be open to the public. For more information call the Community Recreation Center at 815-844-6818.

Rec Center Splash Pad
The Splash Pad at the Rec Center is also free and open to the public. Hours are 9:00am-6:00pm on weekdays and 10:00am-6:00pm on weekends.

Natatorium Pool
If swimming is more your style, Natatorium Pool Hours can be found here . Be sure and check often, they change monthly. Note that during Adult Swim Hours there is no lifeguard on duty so all swimmers must be 18 years of age to be in the pool.
Pool use is included for Rec Center Members. Non-members can pay a daily drop in fee of $5 for individuals or $7 for an immediate family.

Swim Lessons
For swimmers just starting out, individual swim lessons are offered through the Rec Center for $12 per half hour. All individual swim lessons are one-on-one with a certified life guard. To sign up or for more information call the Rec Center at 815-844-6818.
Rockin' at the River Concert Series
The City of Pontiac is excited to announce a FREE, family friendly concert series at the Band Shell in Humiston Riverside Park this summer! These concerts will feature opening acts by local musicians and regional bands headlining. There will also be other free activities taking place in the park to go along with the music. Opening acts will begin playing at 5:30 and the headline act will start playing at 7:00. Show dates and headliners are:

June 6: The Blooze Brothers
June 20: Hurricane Reggae
June 27: Mucca Pazza
July 11: Sun Beard
July 25: Animal Farm

Be outdoors! Gardening, biking, golfing, Humiston Woods.

Tell us a little about yourself:
My husband, Bob, and I began dating our senior year of high school and married 5 years later. We have three daughters who all married guys that are from Pontiac. We are lucky to have all of them living here. They have blessed us with 6 grandchildren. 
Volunteering and being active in organizations in my community has been important to me since my early adult life. I have gained many friendships, learned new things and try to make a difference in those endeavors. It has enriched my life in many ways.
