Review of Week Two
Click here for reports and pictures of branch actions .

Rev. Barber gave a brief overview saying: "Already in two weeks we've been able to shift the narrative, so that there is not just attention on arrests, but because people are making commitments to make the change needed to shift the narrative.

There were15,000 people gathered at different sites and close to 2,000 nonviolent action arrests. many newspapers and TV articles are carrying the issues, not just the attention-getting political dramas and looming disaster and war.

For the first time you heard Gubernatorial Candidate Stacey Abrams, the first major politician to talk about racism and poverty and building a fusion movement. And Sen. Ben Nelson call out voter suppression.

We can continue this media breakthrough if we stay steadfast and stay on message. This is evidence that we are building a real fusion movement and are able to mobilize OUR base among not just the millennials and the young, but among people of all races, colors, creed and sexual orientation....there is enough room for everybody in this movement. It's thrilling to see that we are not just doing this in our country, but worldwide. We are coming together and standing together."

The first 40 Days is to mobilize, to have moral religious leaders come together as well as people from a wide variety of grassroots organizations to shift the narrative and all stand together.
