Many metaphysicians are heralding the annual opening of "The Lion's Gate" from now through August 15. This gateway is marked by an alignment between our Earth and the star Sirius. It is considered by many to open a portal to awakened consciousness.
Many of you have heard of Dog Days of summer. Sirius is also known as the the dog star. It is well known in folk traditions as a time that wounds won't heal and as having the hottest days of the year.
Monday is apt to be a trying day. After some sweet dreams in the wee hours of the morning, things may become erratic. With Mercury square Uranus, anything goes. Those brilliant ideas may go sideways by this evening when the Moon in Taurus enters the action. Adjustments, changes of plans and upsets are apt to plague you today.
Tuesday morning the Moon is trine Jupiter. This is a good time to ask for favors. Mid afternoon, the Moon is sextile Neptune. The temptation is to daydream, take a nap, or have an afternoon glass of wine, but it would be beneficial to get out near water or have a meditation session instead. Psychic instincts are high. Tonight the Moon is trine Pluto favoring research, closet cleaning or getting to the bottom of most any issue.
There is a void of course Moon Wednesday morning from the time it is trine Saturn until late morning when it enters Gemini. Fortunately most of us won't be trying to accomplish much during this time, but it is also advisable not to schedule job interviews or start projects now. The Sun is quincunx Neptune today and things are apt to seem a bit foggy. The ego must adjust to the needs of the greater cause. This is not easy.
Thursday Mars perfects a square with Pluto. This is a powerful explosive energy. Stay out of dark alleys and avoid confrontations. Tonight the Moon is sextile Mercury improving communications, but with a lunar quincunx to Jupiter watch out for exaggerations.
A lunar square to Neptune and quincunx with Pluto makes for strange disturbing dreams. Again, remember that the Mars square Pluto is still in effect. Stay away from dangerous places and situations in the pre-dawn hours. This is exacerbated around daylight with a lunar sextile to Mars. Mercury is quincunx Jupiter today. Adjustments to your story or to your sales pitch are needed. Philosophy and communications are not in alignment. With a lunar quincunx to Saturn, someone in a position of authority is going to catch any discrepancy.
Saturday morning the saga continues and intensifies. The Moon is now in Cancer. Mercury is quincunx Neptune and the Sun is quincunx Pluto. Escapism, deception and power struggles are the tug of war before daylight. Fortunately a lunar conjunction with Venus about the time we finish our second cup of coffee smooths out the day a bit, at least the morning. A lunar sextile with Uranus, now retrograde gives us the boost to escape the fray this afternoon, get away from the hum-drum and have some original thoughts.
Sunday is an action packed day with a half dozen aspects. In the morning, the Moon is opposite Jupiter and trine Neptune. Idealism runs high. The Sun is trine Mars, still within orb of aspect to Pluto. Watch out of ego or an argumentative nature as difficult lunar aspects between Pluto, Sun and Mars continue to bombard us with the Mars/Pluto aspect throughout the afternoon. Tonight we get some reprieve as Saturn steps up with an opposition from the Moon, to add a sobering voice of reason and possibly elicit authority to calm things down. It's a difficult weekend to say the least.
