IMPORTANT - Sale Timeline Changes

While some of our units are slowly getting up and running again, initial reports from some of our Scout units is that the popcorn sale is going much better than expected!

Since most of the units that placed an order were very cautious in the amounts they ordered, we have arranged with Camp Masters to place a second order with delivery in October.

To help the units that have gotten off to a slow start this year, we will be extending the sale into December to give them additional time.

September Popcorn Order

The next deadline to order popcorn will be Tuesday, September 29 by 3 pm (central). Units can choose to place their order online in the Camp Masters popcorn system or call in the order to the Center for Scouting in Fargo (701--293-5011).

All products will be available for October delivery except for the Chocolate Treasures Tin. Everything else, including Chocolate Drizzle Caramel corn will be available.

The popcorn will be delivered to Fargo and Bismarck locations on October 14 and then we will distribute the orders to the proper districts for units to pick up on October 15 or 16.

Special note about customers expecting popcorn before Thanksgiving.

In the original schedule, the final popcorn order was in October with delivery before Thanksgiving. For those customers that were told they would receive their product before Thanksgiving - you will need to place that order by September 29 and the Scouts can deliver the orders earlier than expected. The only product that the Scouts will not be able to deliver before Thanksgiving is the Chocolate Treasures Tins.

Final Popcorn Order

We are still working on the details of the Final Order, but we expect that the deadline for units to place their Final Order for popcorn will be around November 30 with delivery around December 9-11.


Online Q & A Session Scheduled

We will be conducting a Popcorn Sale Q & A session on Monday, September 28 from 6:30 to 7:15 pm.

This is will be an open questions and answers session. If you have a question about the popcorn sale, jump online anytime between 6:30 and 7:15 pm and we will try to answer your questions!

We also encourage units that have had success selling this year, to participate and share what has been working well.

Video Contest

We would like to hear what your unit is doing to have a successful popcorn sale in 2020!

Record a short video (3-5 minutes long) explaining what your units does. Some ideas would include:

  • How do you motivate the Scouts and Parents to sell?
  • What methods do you encourage Scouts to use? (for example - Store Front sales, Wagon Sales, Door to Door sales)
  • How do you make the sale fun for the Scouts?
  • Do you have any special prizes that the unit gives to Scouts for selling?

This is how the contest will work:

  • Units can submit a video no later than Thursday, October 8 by 10 pm (central)
  • Video submissions should be saved on Google Drive (use the button below to submit a video)
  • Up to four videos will be selected
  • We will then have a public voting contest to select the best video
  • The unit with the most votes will receive a $100 certificate to use for council or Scout Shop purchases.
