THE LAST ONE - Moonshine in Appalachia

Deep in the Appalachian mountains, legendary moonshiner Popcorn Sutton runs his last batch of bootleg whiskey, revealing the craft of distillation, the character of his Scots-Irish ancestors, and a lifetime of memories in the trade. An E mmy award-winning PBS special celebrating the craft, history and heritage of Appalachian moonshine, featuring legendary moonshiner Popcorn Sutton.

THE OUTLAW LEWIS REDMOND

In the era of Jesse James and Billy-the-Kid, the Appalachian bootlegger 'Major' Lewis Redmond was the most famous outlaw in the United States. This PBS special uncovers the truth behind a forgotten folk hero, the "Robin Hood of Appalachia."

THIS IS THE LAST RUN OF LIKKER I'LL EVER MAKE

The original cult classic - Covertly filmed deep in Southern Appalachia, this raw documentary was originally available only on homemade VHS copies sold by Popcorn Sutton himself. The film inspired CMT's Shocking Stories of Moonshine, the Emmy award-winning PBS special The Last One, and the Discovery series Moonshiners. Here now, in humble glory, the original distillation that captured the end of an era.
