Almost there! We know for many of you this has been a long popcorn season; even for some of the veterans. Hang in there. Remember that we do this so our youth can fund their Scouting adventures.

  • November Orders: Orders are due Monday, November 2nd at noon in the popcorn system. Remember that for this order, you can order just the containers you need. You do not need to order a full case.
  • Don't forget that even if you don't need product, you need to go in and place an order for your American Hero donations that were done via paper forms, Wagon Sales or Storefronts.

  • Returns/November Order Distribution: Returns need to be entered in the popcorn system by Monday, November 2nd at noon. This is true even for metro units returning before so that your return can then be approved.

  • Entering returns are similar to the transfer instructions; just click ‘Return Inventory to Council’ instead of ‘Transfer Inventory’. Click here for instructions on entering a transfer in the system.
  • Remember that returns are unopened cases only with a max of 10% ordered
  • If you have unopened cases but need singular containers, return the unopened case and place the containers needed on your final order

  • Metro Units @ Ford Storage
  • Returns will be taken on Saturday October 31st from 8am to 11am at Ford Storage (10364 S 136th St, Omaha, NE).

  • Popcorn Swap 10/29: Get your product faster and help your fellow units out. Come this Thursday to the Durham Scout Center (12401 W Maple Road, Omaha) between 7pm and 7:30pm. If you plan to place a final order, please come that night as there are units trying to get rid of excess product. If you can't make it that night and need something send us your needs list to mac@scouting.org and we will gather it for you. For those outside the metro area, please make sure you are communicating with your district kernel about extra product so they can help. Remember, returns to the council are unopened cases only with a max of 10% ordered so take advantage of transfers.

  • High Seller Recognition: We are still hopeful that a Popcorn Ball / VIP event for those selling $1,000 / $1,700 will be able to be held this year. That decision will be made in the next couple of weeks and will be communicated to those Scouts that qualify and to you. In the event those can not take place, Scouts will still receive their recognition items.

  • Blitz Weekend: Here are the winners of the drawing for those that posted a sale this last weekend. These prizes will be available at popcorn returns (non-metro) / roundtable next week. Contact us at mac@scouting.org if you want to arrange to pick the prize up:
  • Unit Funds sitting with Trails End: With all of the online orders and credit card sales there are many units that have a balance owed to them. You can find this in the 'Acct. Summary' section of the leader portal. You will need to fill out your Unit bank account info and W9 info to start that process. If you have trouble and would simply like the funds deposited into your Unit Deposit Account (UDA) at the Scout Center you can send an e-mail to mac@scouting.org. Those funds can then be used for charter fees, scout shop purchases, or popcorn bill. The unit can also request a check at any time. Please note that if your unit ends up accepting transfers or placing a final order, you might still owe for that product even though you also have a payout available. Click here for more information about the payout process.

  • December Order: Because of the pandemic, many units and Scouts have gotten a late start on their Scouting year. We are going to offer another order date of December 1 to help those that need more time to sell. This will allow units to continue to collect orders through the month of November. There will not be returns at that time but any product needed can then be ordered. Product will arrive in the Dec 15 - 17 timeframe.
