Class of 2019
Fifty-eight students graduated on June 4th during a mass at St. Peter Church in West Brandywine. The theme for this year's 8th Grade Eucharistic Celebration and Commencement Ceremony was "Light." Father Fitzpatrick, pastor of St. Peter Church, was the primary Celebrant  assisted by Father Brennan, pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary. Following the mass, students were commended for academic achievements and awarded over $32,000 in scholarship money for high school. Many thanks to our benefactors and friends who further the mission of Catholic education with support at the secondary level.
Following the ceremony, graduates returned to the school for a dance to celebrate their accomplishments. Congratulations to the Class of 2019 and best wishes on your next journey!

A New Chapter Begins
null   Congratulations to Mrs. Donovan and Mrs. Doyle who recently announced their retirement. Mrs. Donovan has been a teacher at Coatesville Catholic and PJP II School for 30 years. Mrs. Doyle has been involved for over 45 years serving as a member of the Home & School and CYO Boards, an avid Cheerleading Coach, a Teacher's Aide in Mrs. Donovan's room for 13 years and most recently a Lunch Monitor. Thank you Mrs. Donovan and Mrs.Doyle for your dedication to our children and service to our school community. We wish you both the very best during your retirement. You will be deeply missed at PJP II!
Directed by music teacher Mrs. Tyler, students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade wowed the audience with a 3 night performance of Seussical, Jr., the first ever spring Musical presented at PJP. Students participated in all aspects of the production including cast, stage crew, lighting, costumes, make-up/hair and set design. Congratulations on an outstanding performance! Plans are already underway for next year's show: Shrek Jr.!

 8th Grade Class Gift
Student Council President Nicholas Mersereau and the Class of 2019 presented their Class gift to Dr. Kerins shortly before the debut of the school's Spring Musical. The stage curtains are a beautiful enhancement to the school's Multi-Purpose room. Many thanks to all PJP families, faculty and staff who supported the 8th Grade Class Gift school-wide bake sale and dress differently day!

Spring Fundraisers
The Dash For Cash committee would like to thank all the families and friends who supported the Dash with pledges and raffle tickets this year. We raised an all time high total of $53,850. We certainly could not have done this without you and the extended Pope John Paul II community. The money raised will continue to ensure the children of PJP II are given the best possible environment to learn and further grow. Thank you all very much for your generosity!

Golfers teed off on a beautiful May day to raise funds for the PJP II Scholarship Fund. Through the generosity of our sponsors, golfers and donors, we were able to raise a record $25,000 to help school families with tuition assistance. The Golf committee looks forward to next year's outing set for Tuesday May 12th, 2020 at Downingtown Country Club. Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education!

Camilla Hall Outreach
8th grade Student Council members made their annual visit to Camilla Hall to deliver personal care items and sundries that were donated by PJP families and friends. The IHM Sisters were filled with gratitude from the outpouring of generosity. God Bless our IHM Sisters!
