POPE JOHN PAUL II REGIONAL CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Living Rosary
October is the month of the Holy Rosary and praying the Living Rosary is an annual tradition for the students at PJP II School. Seventh and eighth graders led the ceremony which took place at St. Peter Church. PreK and Kinder students prayed a shortened version of the Living Rosary which took place at the school.

2018-19 Student Council
Students were recently installed as Student Council service members during a ceremony at St. Peter Church. Student  Council officers, commissioners, class representatives and ambassadors received an official pin blessed by Father Brennan, primary celebrant for the mass.  The students pledged to proudly serve their school and parish communities in which they live.

Silent Auction & Monte Carlo Night
The Auction committee, co-chaired by Mary Brady and Allison Garrity, invites the community to attend the Silent Auction and Monte Carlo Night on Saturday, November 17th at 6pm in the St. Peter's Celebration Center.  There will be live casino tables, a variety of silent auction items to bid on and a delicious dinner prepared by John Serock Catering. Auction items include popular sporting event tickets and autographed gear, theatre and restaurant packages, vacation getaways, themed baskets, personalized grade level gifts, teacher donated experiences, front row seating to Kinder and 8th grade graduations and more! Guests will enjoy the convenience of mobile bidding throughout the night. Proceeds will benefit the school's new STREAM program and enhanced technology infrastructure. Don't miss a wonderful evening to socialize with friends, family and neighbors while raising funds for the students at Pope John Paul II School. Fellowship and Fun

In the Science lab, second graders built houses out of straw, sticks and index cards.  Then they tested them to see if they would withstand the Big Bad Wolf, aka a box fan. They met with great success!   Visit our Open House on November 11th from 12-2 to learn more about our  STREAM-fusion  program for K-8th grade.
PJP Embraces LSA

The older students are enjoying the addition of our littlest saints who have joined Little Saints Academy (LSA).  Here Kindergarten had an opportunity to sing a few songs to the infants. Their reactions? Priceless! If you know someone looking for a caring, convenient and flexible Child Care program for their 3-36 month year old, please invite them to stop by our Open House on Sunday, November 11th from 12-2pm to learn more about Little Saints Academy.
Alumni Corner
Bridget Monaco, PJP II Class of 2016 and a junior at Bishop Shanahan High School, has completed her gold project for Girl Scouts. Assisted by fellow PJP II alumnae, Bridget painted hopscotch and four square games at the school's campus. The games will offer outdoor recess experiences for the students during recess. Bridget completed over 90 hours of service to earn the award.
She visited the summer camp program and spent time teaching the participants how to play each of the games. Congratulations to Bridget on this great accomplishment which will also benefit the students at PJP II School!
