What You Need to Know About the 2017-2018 FAFSA

The 2017-2018 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be available starting October 1. Families with students graduating high school in 2017 should complete this FAFSA if they are interested in federal student aid for college in the 17-18 academic year.

In the past, parents and students could start completing the FAFSA for the following school year beginning on January 1. Submitting the FAFSA earlier in the college application cycle enables families to have more time to meet all admission and financial aid deadlines and explore higher education options.
